Collectively our 4 tax preparers have over 100 years of tax preparation experience:

Our Director, James W Rickard has 47 years of experience

and his son, James M (Jim Jr) has 28 years of experience.

Nancy has been preparing for 23 years.

James M has a Bachelor’s in Accounting from The Master’s College and an MBA from California Lutheran University.  While in college he interned for Douglas Hammonds Accountancy Corporation.  Shortly after college he passed the CPA exam.  He is the Head Coach for the Men’s Soccer team at The Master’s College.  Jim works full-time for The Stewardship Services Foundation during tax season and the rest of the year he splits his time between the foundation and soccer.  His wife, Jolene also helps with the preparation of returns during tax season. They have 2 married children, 1 son at home and one grandchild.

Kathy has a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio.  She worked as an accountant with Coca-cola for several years while her husband attended Northwest Baptist Seminary.  Her husband has been in the ministry for over 33 years.  Kathy works  full-time for The Stewardship Services Foundation during tax season and the rest of the year she keeps busy as a full-time pastor’s wife.  She and her husband have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren.

Nancy attended Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa.  She worked for several years as an accountant at hospitals in the Chicago area.  Nancy wrote and updates the computer program we use to prepare returns.  She works for the foundation year round and if you call during the summer she will probably be the one answering your questions.  Her husband works for ACSI and is in charge of accreditation in the Western U.S..  They have 7 grown children and 9 grandchildren.  Nancy and Kathy are sisters.

and our Office Staff:

Lee works full-time during tax season and part-time the rest of the year.  She helps prepare returns and works with Nancy to update our computer program each year.  Her husband, Michael, is an IT professional and has been in the industry since 1990.  They have one married son and granddaughter.

Jennifer (Jenn) works full-time during tax season.   If Vicki is unavailable to answer the phone you will most likely hear Jen’s voice.  Her husband, Jerry, works for the Master’s University.  Jen and her husband have 6 grown children, and 6 grandchildren.

Joan is the wife of our Director, Jim Rickard.  She works in the office full-time during tax season.  Joan functions as Jim’s personal secretary and travels with him most of the time.  Jim and Joan have 2 grown children, 8 grandchildren and one great- grandchild.

Jolene is the wife of James M. Rickard.  She works during tax season as a checker and helps prepare returns.  Jolene has been working for us for 16 years.  She graduated from Westmont College with a degree in Kinesiology.

Diana works full-time during tax season.  Her sweet voice is the one you are most likely to hear when you call the office during the season.  Diana and her husband, Lyle, have 3 grown children, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Vicki works full-time during tax season.  If Diana is unavailable to answer the phone you will most likely hear Vicki’s voice.  Vicki also is a tax return checker.  She and her husband, Don, have one married daughter and a son in college.

Cherylyn works full-time during tax season.  She graduated from The Master’s College when it was still LABC.  Her husband, Dave, is the pastor of a large church here in our valley.  Cherylyn and her husband have 3 grown children, and two grandchildren.

Janine works part-time during tax season.  She graduated from Cal State Northridge and has a degree in Civil Structural Design.  Her husband, Kevin, is a Vice President of Sales and Marketing at a chemical company.  Janine and her husband have 3 children in high school and junior high.

During tax-season we have additional part-time staff members.
